The community of Elgin and Chantrell Park is located between the Nicomekl River to the north and the city of White Rock to the south. It is bounded by Crescent Park to the west and King George Boulevard to the east.
The historic Stewart Farm House is located in Elgin Heritage Park. The farmhouse was built in the 1890's by the Stewart Family who operated a hay farm for over 50 years and contributed to the establishment of local schools, churches and community centres. Today the community is a combination of older 1 acre estate homes and more recent single family residence construction. The community has Ray Shepherd Elementary and Chantrell Creek Elementary which is located in a quiet neighbourhood with a beautiful park-like setting.
