The community of Crescent Beach is located on the western end of the Semiahmoo Peninsula. Most of the community is located within a short walk of the beaches in the area. It is approximately bounded by Semiahmoo Bay, Boundary Bay and 128th Street.
Crescent Beach has been a summer destination for centuries from the time that First Nations people set up temporary summer camps to Vancouver residents vacationing here. Numerous old timer cottages can still be found in the area, however it is increasingly becoming part of the larger community and new homes are now replacing the old timer cottages.
If you are looking for a seaside community this is it. With the entire community being located within a few blocks of the Ocean it definitely has the feel of a seaside community and although it is only a 10 minute drive from White Rock it is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is the place to live if you like long walks on the beach or sailing or even swimming in the summer. Additionally, Blackie Spit Regional Park provides self guided nature walks and an excellent location for bird watching. Catchment area for Crescent Park Elementary.
