The community of Pacific Douglas is located south of 24th avenue and north of 0 Avenue (US border) and is located between Highway 99 and Highway 15 (176th Street).
Pacific Douglas is at the epicenter of early trade routes from the United States to Canada. It's name is taken from the Pacific Border Crossing along highway 99/I-5 where the Peach Arch Monument is located and the Douglas Border Crossing which goes by the slang name as the "Truck" crossing due to the large number of commercial vehicles that cross here.
Today the community is quickly growing as the Summerfield development is adding hundreds of new and affordable homes that are both close to the border crossing and close to highway 99 for easy access to the city. Hall's Prairie Elementary is the main school in the neighbourhood.
